This is the yogurt starter I use for my soy yogurt. It's not cheep butĀ you need one sachet only, if you remember to keep aside a little quantity of yogurt from the previous batch.

Making VEGAN yogurt is so easy using these packets. I use one then useĀ previous made yogurt a couple of times for the starter and it works great. I keep my starters in the fridge as I had ran into starter that died in a few months but their customer service was exceptional and I got free replacements. Keep your in the fridge. Makes very delicious yogurt that's plain. I also use a little tapioca starch to firm the yogurt more. Yum!!

I discovered this product on Thrive Market but it is available online as well. ThereĀ are four little packets in the package and each one makes a quart of yogurt at a cost of two dollars or so plus the soy milk. Make sure to use plain, unsweetened soy milk with no other ingredients but soybeans or it doesnā€™t work. Shake the packet and box of soy milk together in a quart jar and cook for 11 -12 hrs in an instant pot. No cover on jar. Unvented ok. No water or rack in pot. Itā€™s fabulous!!
