This is one of those impractical yet intriguing products that beckon you over and insist
on being tried. Given my past experiences with fish roe, I was expecting something like tiny, savory popping boba. These were more chewy; they didn’t quite have that bursting quality, nor were they as salty as expected. However, the appearance was spot-on, and the #seaweed gave these pearls a gentle brininess, which I liked. What they lack in substance (almost no nutritional value,) they make up for in novelty. #leavethefishinthesea #veganegg(?)
From what I remember of my extremely infrequent encounters with #caviar, these aren’t exactly an accurate imitation. That being said, they’re not bad; in addition to all the goodness that comes with being vegan, Cavi•art is also a much more economical choice. It could be a fun accent for entertaining (pictured: as the first course of my pretending-to-be-fancy supper!) I would also love to sample their version of masago someday. I don’t remember the price but I’m fairly certain it was no more than $4 (#groceryoutletfinds!)
