This photo of the sea was taken in the early morning at East Coast Park, Singapore. Our family was there to watch the sunrise.
The water has a calming effect that I always love. Whenever I face the sea, I feel so small in this world…and free…
I didn’t know the effect of plastic and waste that float on the sea. It was always viewed through the camera lens.
I fully understand the problem when I took a ship 🛳 to Bintan some years ago. It was a beautiful sight till I noticed little rubbish floating around…then they got bigger and bigger.
It was a sight that I still remember now. It was no longer the beautiful sea I have known of.
After watching many documentaries, I realised the problem is not a small one, it is a massive problem. I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ how to solve this which involves working with various nations and also the community within.
The future seems bleak…but I have confidence that we will get there. Change is only one thing that is constant.
The ocean and sea will be there for our future generations and all the sea animals and plants, because it starts with you and me. We have so many members right here at abillion who love the ocean and the Earth, looking at the beautiful posts in this #weeklywins theme.
Never undermines a person’s effort. Collectively, the movement is massive. Have faith. ❤️
