Just make it in time for the #weeklywins celebrating women:) I was wondering who I will feature in this post.
At first, I thought of writing about a famous lady who I admire for her courage and spirit. When most goes North, she goes South. Not that she is stubborn or being difficult, but simply because she stood by what she believes is right to do.
But, it seems that featuring this lady is not going to happen. Instead, I am writing about a lady totally unheard of in this tiny country Singapore. She isn’t a well known celebrity or have millions social media followers. She is a humble lady who founded The Eco Statement.
She created the Karang Guni Trail Board Game and RecycleRight card games for children and adults to learn about sustainability in a fun and engaging way. She even designs colour pencils made with recycled paper and at the top end of the ✏️ pencil is a capsule filled with tiny vegetables seeds! How cool is that!
She sees a problem when the colour pencil gets too short to hold and gets discarded away. I had that problem when I was a child! I felt that it was a waste to throw the coloured pencils when there was still some left, but it was just too uncomfortable to hold onto anymore.
She created the idea by planting your “left over” pencil! Then the seeds will grow into vegetables! So cool!
Anyone can be creative and contribute in their own special ways to love this planet Earth. It is very often the people on the streets, the humble Janes and Jones, collectively, can become a powerful force of change.
This woman is Sangeeta Nair, Founder of The Eco-Statement.
Abillion’s tagline “Find Your Impact” describes her, you and me beautifully. We each have the power within us to create an impact. 🤜🤜🏻🤜🏼🤜🏽🤜🏾🤜🏿🤛🤛🏻🤛🏼🤛🏽🤛🏾🤛🏿
