This was a beautiful and really hip restaurant. Once you walked into the back seating area, it was really crowded and looked like the place to be! They have a really cool concept, where they state, "Let food be the medicine." Le Botaniste is the only 100% organic, plant-based, and carbon-neutral restaurant in New York City. They also have a large vegan wine menu. From their site: "For us, the future of food is about influencing and changing eating habits to reflect the wellness and respect we wish to see in the world. It’s about going back to basics: pure, fresh, recognizable, and accessible food we can easily trace to its origins."

This bowl had quinoa fusilli, bolognese sauce, green herbal oil, and a superseed mix. We also added veggie balls. Their menu states that for this meal, there are 0.2527 kg CO2 emissions - 90% less than a similar dish with beef. This was good. It tasted unique. The veggie balls had a bit of an earthy flavor from the beets. This bowl was loaded with nutrients. I would definitely want to come back here and try one or their brightly colored soups or salads! We even spoke to the manager, and he recommended a lot of other great vegan stops. Great experience.
