Review of Silken Tofu (Kinu) - DON DON DONKI by eritakay
I absolutely love #silkentofu! I feel like many non-Asian people are sleeping on this type of tofu. It's very soft, and you can make #vegan runny eggs out of this, among other things. I use it to add protein and ingredients to my unhealthy instant noodle dish 🍜 and make traditional Chinese dishes like Mapo tofu (with omni mince). I usually use Unicurd brand of Chinese tofu (less water content). This one from DDD is similar but much softer. On the soft-firm scale, this one sits between Unicurd’s soup #silken #tofu and Chinese silken tofu, leaning closer to the latter.
I’ll buy it again as it’s pretty affordable ($3.25 for 3 IIRC), plus it’s made locally in #Singapore 🇸🇬❤️
