Review of Vegetarian BBQ Roasted Meat Pau - Veggieland by elej91

A product I happened to come across at the supermarket. Appearance-wise I have to say it looks pretty good. The filling was ok, though the texture of the individual pieces of wheat gluten is slightly softer than meat.

While the bun was mostly ok (though some bits of it were more dense and less 'fluffy'), the filling:bun ratio was quite off (as you can see in this picture). And I think I would have preferred a sweeter charsiew feeling. I would also have preferred the filling to have more variance in the texture on the inside (mix of chewier and not so chewy bits).

There's also other paus in the range, so I will probably give those a try after I finish this one off.
