🌕It was 冬至Winter Solstice a few days back and we had 汤圆 glutinous rice balls. My mum did it a little differently this year, boiling the 🍲 with gula melaka instead of rock sugar. It worked well with the pandan leaves and ginger to give it a little peranakan twist.
Found the red bean filling to be rather thin and bland. The sesame filling was much better. 🌕
