Review of Vegan Chili at House of Leaf & Bean, An Organic Restaurant & Cafe by dema

The dish would more appropriately have been called spicy beans and tofu. There was nothing reminiscent of an actual chili, except the spice and beans.

While it didn't taste terrible, it was rather dry, and mostly just spicy. Though I enjoy spice, other flavors would also be nice, as would the sauce more common to a typical chili.

Unfortunately, at $11.50 for the bowl, it was a rather big disappointment, but I suppose at least it looked pretty.
