Many of us remember Joaquin Phoenix’s heartfelt speech about animals when he received the academy award for best actor in 2020. It was a great example of leadership, of sharing one’s platform for something selfless, something people might not immediately understand but something that they’ll remember and think about.
Bob Barker just died at 99. He was a lifelong activist. I grew up watching the Price is Right, and every day, 5 days a week for 35 years, his message at the end of the show was the same, to care for and respect animals.
Use your voice, your platform for something meaningful. RIP Bob Barker.

veronicagroen I first "met" Bob Barker on Whale Wars (the vessel Paul Watson was on, saving thousands of whales), years ago, and had to Google him and Bridget Bardot. What I read about him gave immediate respect. Swim with 🐋 gentle Bob Barker, your generosity, good heart and beautiful soul enabled people to save sentient beings, for that I salute you a last time.
