Santan (AirAsia)

Looks like I once again accidentally ordered #airplanefood šŸ™ˆ Just after having breakfast at Four Fingers too! https://www.abillion.com/restaurants/kuching-4-fingers-crispy-chicken-11378086 šŸ£ Luckily this is a #nasilemak Iā€™m very keen on šŸ˜‹ So keen in fact I had @m1tch9i order one for me on her flight so I could try it at home!

Okay, okay āœ‹ The rice is definitely not very #lemak but itā€™s at least a very nice & fluffy #purplerice ā€” as far as #airlinefood goes I suppose.

The #curry is nice and at least sports a variety of vegetables, eggplant šŸ†, french beans šŸ«›, and potatoes šŸ„” namely but also some ā€œplant-based proteinā€ per their ingredients that tasted like a #veganchicken of sorts. Appearance-wise itā€™s very convincing and sort of ruins the optics to other passengers that youā€™re not actually eating dead animals! šŸ«¢

Then thereā€™s these oddball #soycurls standing in place of #anchovies šŸŸ Where have you been all my life? Where I can I get some for my #vpantry?? Please Santan (AirAsia) we need to know! šŸ™‡ā€ā™€ļø Itā€™s a pretty full meal Iā€™d say šŸ˜‹ 460kcal at that though the breakdown of contents would indicate something closer to 370kcal instead* šŸ§ Iā€™d absolutely recommend it though if you need a meal on the plane so you can just get going when you land šŸ‘ Iā€™d suggest you pre-book it though because we canā€™t take vegan meals for granted in Malaysia šŸ˜¬ *the nutritional facts list 11.8g of protein & 17.9g carbs which each have 4kcal per gram and 27.4g of fat which has 9kcal per gram.

dafnelatelyĀ Yeah, it is quite rubbery but Iā€™d take it to whatever Malaysia Airlines calls food šŸ¤®2 likesReply
