Review of Pak Nasser's Plant-based Nasi Lemak - Santan (AirAsia) by dafnelately
Looks like I once again accidentally ordered #airplanefood š Just after having breakfast at Four Fingers too! https://www.abillion.com/restaurants/kuching-4-fingers-crispy-chicken-11378086 š£ Luckily this is a #nasilemak Iām very keen on š So keen in fact I had @m1tch9i order one for me on her flight so I could try it at home!
Okay, okay ā The rice is definitely not very #lemak but itās at least a very nice & fluffy #purplerice ā as far as #airlinefood goes I suppose.
The #curry is nice and at least sports a variety of vegetables, eggplant š, french beans š«, and potatoes š„ namely but also some āplant-based proteinā per their ingredients that tasted like a #veganchicken of sorts. Appearance-wise itās very convincing and sort of ruins the optics to other passengers that youāre not actually eating dead animals! š«¢
Then thereās these oddball #soycurls standing in place of #anchovies š Where have you been all my life? Where I can I get some for my #vpantry?? Please Santan (AirAsia) we need to know! šāāļø
Itās a pretty full meal Iād say š 460kcal at that though the breakdown of contents would indicate something closer to 370kcal instead* š§
Iād absolutely recommend it though if you need a meal on the plane so you can just get going when you land š Iād suggest you pre-book it though because we canāt take vegan meals for granted in Malaysia š¬
