VEGAN

Loving Hut

This is the best #veganegg on the market šŸ™Œ The #sunnysideup format is a favourite of mine because prior to going vegan I really enjoyed #shakshuka šŸ³ This is a perfect stand in for the dish!

Texture wise, it fries a little better than other #vegansunnysideupegg products Iā€™ve tried and is far less ā€œthickā€ ā€” far more akin to the real deal. Itā€™s in the taste department however where it simply blows everything else out the waters šŸŒŠ Sure, youā€™ll know itā€™s not an actual #egg youā€™re eating but I donā€™t think Iā€™ve had #eggyolk as on point before. Iā€™m absolutely obsessed!

They seem to have accomplished this with a mix of mung beans šŸ«˜, carrot šŸ„•, and a mixture they dub ā€œvegan soy cheeseā€ šŸ§€ The whites, in spite being otherwise fairly tasteless too have an insane ingredient composition. Talk about #ultraprocessed! šŸ˜µ Iā€™ve been getting these at around S$11 from Everyday vegan grocer for the past year or so for a pack of 4. I recommend defrosting and separating the individual ā€œsheetsā€ ahead of time so itā€™s easier to peel out the next time you use them. I really hope to stock up on these again. Theyā€™re absolutely the best! šŸ’Æ #veganisnotscary #droptheegg #bestpicks #chickenless

flouredfingersĀ I saw another review on these recently on YouTube and even though they do not look great it was promised they are really good, so I'm excited to find those some day šŸ˜šŸ³1 likeReply

glutenfreeveeĀ Have you seen @pdxveg post (https://www.abillion.com/reviews/65333c48e3e4b22580f56a6e) with the sunny side up egg by Yo Egg? šŸ³ Itā€™s only currently available to restaurants in the US, so we canā€™t yet find them in the markets, but maybe they could reach out to them and bring them there in the near future?1 likeReply
dafnelatelyĀ Oh wow! I was under the impression that Yo Egg only sold directly to restaurants, kind of like what Hegg Foods does with their #poachedegg šŸ˜® Perhaps weā€™ll see @everydayvegangrocer pull in more #vegansunnysideupegg some time! šŸ£Reply
glutenfreeveeĀ Yes, that is the current case. But itā€™s always worthwhile to let them know there is interest for this in Singapore restaurants and (hopefully) grocers too.Reply
