Review of Walnut Hummus with Pumpkin Seeds and Pomegranate Molasses at JOLOKO by stevenneoh

Argh what amazing food these people serve up here 😃 It was my first time back since that fateful night of NYE 2021 when we missed the COVID police raid by a few minutes; I guess I'd subconsciously stayed away since then, my loss 😬

Bear with the lacklustre photos, this is the best that my camera can do given the mood lighting in the place. Said camera is on its last legs anyway, as I await the arrival of the Pixel 8 Pro and the triumph of open ecosystems 😏

Okay, onto relevant matters now. The #hummus is outstanding, because the #walnut infuses every single delicate note that it gives you 😋 The #pumpkinseeds are a nice touch; the #pomegranate is joyful and fun ☺️ And the #flatbread, toasted to a faultless crisp, is an excellent way to break bread at the start of a meal. Sharing is very much part of the ethos of this pan-Caribbean joint. Unfortunately they carried that philosophy into the design of the dining room, which had horrible acoustics and left us unable to hear one another but fully cognisant of what was happening at the various tables around us 😦
