In typical Andhra style, spicy enough to get the tears flowing. 🌶️
(Buttermilk on the side to quench the flames)
Their tagline- Local meat dishes made vegan.
Mockmeat is not widely available here (yet) and dishes are even harder to find.
Hotpot is a great initiative, and there's a large market to grab. I had a bite and the mockmeat (soy?) was really soft and soaked up the flavour fairly well. It was meant to be #veganchicken, and I'm told #chicken meat is slightly chewier.
All the omnivores at the event liked it, but most can't be bothered to change their lifestyle or have a serious conversation about its ramifications.
What a shame that the only "interaction" most have with these birds is an assessment of how tender their flesh is. I don't think most people would be non-vegan if they really took in the individuals on their plate or skin.

unejanie it's so easy for some people to turn off the part of their brain that has sympathy for living beings. it's not even about convenience anymore. There are so many non-dairy products available that, to me, or higher quality. Yet people still go for the eggs and milk. Vegan cheese and ice cream have advance so much in the past few years. As well as meat substitutes. They last longer in the freezer, they are easier to cook, and they're better for you. They're better for the planet. I shake my head a lot in disbelief.2 likesReply
