Review of Vegan Rice Set at QQ Rice - Woodlands MRT by huilin

This vegan bento set from QQ rice doesn't disappoint!

The vegan rice set comes with brown rice with vegetarian floss and sambal chilli, with stir-fry mixed vegetable (mix mushrooms, celery, carrot, bell pepper, Beancurb skin) as the base. You need to choose another 2 more side dish to complete the bento set which I chose brocoli and mushroom.

Firstly, the sambal chilli perfectly hit the right note, with the right amount of sweet and sour taste to it. I would say this is the best sambal chilli I have tried thus far. The chilli mixed well with the rice and the vegetable, and enhance the entire bento.

Then came the mixed vegetable. The sauce is really good and flavourful with a balance mix of sweetness and saltiness, and the vegetable and mushrooms are all well marinated.

Lastly, I love that I not feel a lingering msg aftertaste in my mouth after finishing up the bento. It was satisfying and I felt healthy and comfortable eating the dish overall.

The only caveat here would be the portion for the side dish is quite small, about 4 pieces of small brocoli with additional 30 cents. Other than that all is good! :)
