So cheap and great macros. 36g protein per serve! Tastes great as a beef substitute in lasagne, pasta sauce, pasties, etc or even just fried up on its own with some gravy.

Very tasty in a shepherds pie, the kids loved it! Non-vegans/ vegetarian’s were impressed. Approx. $6 at countdown.
Vegie Delights Nutmeat on sale for $5.79.
Not gonna lie... This looked like dog food or something when I opened it up 🤣 Thankfully didn't slice my thumb again this time. Don't we just love that it's called 'nutmeat' 🤣 It was quite bland as it was so with a bit of love, seasoning and other veggies - it worked well. Not sure if I'd get it again tho.

This is the OG plant meat, I think I've been eating it since the 80s. It still comes in a can, still looks like dog food, but if you cook it right (fried up with some catsup) it can be delicious. Also very high in protein, over 100g per can. #alv
I use this as mince for sausage rolls and Bolognese sauce. It's also good sliced and fried with a bit of soy sauce and some liquid smoke. As it is the taste can be a bit strange if you're not used to it. This can goes a long way. A little tip I saw online is open both sides of the can bottom and top and push the nutmeat out as it is tricky to get clean slices otherwise!
