Lucy Glo Apple

In awe of this gorgeous, colorful apple. I’d been trying to find the unique variety for a while and managed to snag it at Trader Joe’s. She’s a natural cross between the highly cherished Honeycrisp apple and an Arlie Red. Both rosy and golden, it would make a killer charcuterie feature. Taste is a bit sweet and a bit tart, not overpoweringly either; texture is crisp even if you’ve forgotten you had it and find it in the back of the fruit drawer weeks later 😇 I’m glad it was a satisfying eat, but I may have bought it just for the novelty and aesthetic even if it wasn’t!

It seems like there’s a new variety of apple comes out every year. But, this has to be the most stunning. Even I was prepared beforehand, that vibrate color still took my breath away🙀 it felt almost magical😻 Taste-wise, it’s slightly tangy and not too sweet. Surprisingly, it’s not very crunchy as Honeycrisp, which it’s part of. But I guess the visual stun alone is well worth it :)
