Mandadle muchos ánimos a Princesa. Mañana tiene la segunda dosis de su tratamiento contra la theileria y es muy fuerte, así que le puede afectar como le pasó el sábado.

Desde que llegó ha estado con mucha diarrea. Además, la última analítica mostraba una fuerte anemia e infección. Le hicimos pruebas para hemoparásitos porque era compatible y vino con garrapatas y leptospiras.
Y dio positivo a theileria.
Es la enfermedad que tenía Luna, una yegua anciana que vivía en el Santuario y la theileria se la llevó hace un mes.

Al ser tan abuelita es mucho más peligroso. Pero vamos a estar con ella, muy pendientes en todo momento.

Son enfermedades transmitidas por garrapatas, bastante complicadas. Producen destrucción de los glóbulos rojos y, a veces, los blancos. El sistema inmune, sobre todo en animales que no están bien por la edad u otros motivos, queda muy tocado.
El tratamiento es fuerte y produce cólicos.

Es muy pronto para ver una evolución pero, quizás cegados por el amor y nuestro deseo de que se recupere, diríamos que está un poquito mejor.
