Billie the Octopus children's book and toy

Children's book by my daughter youth author @lotuskay invites you to explore the wonders of the ocean, become aware of the threats to it, and how you can make a difference. The book is illustrated by Chey Diehl and published by Eifrig Publishing on recycled, acid-free paper.

Lotus wrote Billie the Octopus to educate kids about the beauty and importance of the ocean and protecting fish and marine life. View the sources and resources for ocean facts and plastic facts that are included at the back of the book. The book ihas a vegan message about not eating fish and how fishing and other related related practices endanger marine life.

The book is part of a series Lotus created called Bears for Cares -- bearsforcares.com -- aimed at creating a more compassionate world which began as a project of Jane Goodall Institute's Roots & Shoots youth service program.

Price below is for book AND the companion stuffed toy "octopus" of the main character "Billie". Just the book is $18.99 including shipping available separately in this Marketplace.

This book has been featured by a variety of outlets and organizations including World Oceans Day and Mission Blue. A portion of proceeds of all books and toys are donated to the Jane Goodall Institute.

juliettevbavel A wonderful initiative. I am curious though to learn of what materials the book and octopus are made of. Could you please mention that ? Kind regards Julia 3 likesReply
mschnall The books are printed on recycled, acid-free paper with soy inks. I am not sure exactly about the toy octopus but will look into it and report back! 2 likesReply
