Nature's Bounty

#veganisnotscary when it’s this easy to supplement essential nutrients like B-12! If I’m remembering my physiology correctly, #vitaminb12 is needed for critical functions like red blood cell production and neuronal health. This brand was on sale at Costco recently (I believe the bottle of 300 quick-dissolve tablets was about $20.) As you can see from the supplement facts panel, 2500 mcg is a very high dose (more than 100,000% of RDA.) Had they offered smaller dosages, I probably would have preferred those (although the benefit here is that you only need to take 1-2 pills a week.) Since B vitamins are water-soluble, I imagine that most of it will not be absorbed and instead pass out through urine.

These are taken sublingually; just rest one under your tongue for 30 seconds. I find the flavor pleasant — it isn’t too sweet or artificial-tasting (as is often the case with cherry flavors.) I can’t say whether taking B-12 #supplements actually improves my energy levels, but as it’s absolutely non-negotiable for good health as a vegan, this is a convenient and affordable format that I’m happy to take. #vitamins
