Review of Silken tofu - Yutaka by sianski
I bought this #silkentofu to try making vegan scrambled looking egg. It works a treat.
The texture is very smooth and the 380g block breaks up very easily.
I cooked it with #turmeric olive oil and black pepper and it made a tasty breakfast.
The ingredients is mainly #soybean but there is an acidity regulator called #gluconodeltalactone which I read up on as safe to consume but can sometimes cause side effects. Ideally, our food should all be free of these regulators and preservatives. I am going to check the other brands of tofu I buy to see if they are more pure.
