Review of Greek White (Block/Panetto) - Violife by tamiapple
With a label that highlights what this feta doesnât contain, along with a clear vegan seal, Violife had me at hello. I recently enjoyed crumbling this soft, mellow & delicious cheese over a salad & on top of pizza. Iâm impressed with the flavor of this product & Iâll buy it again. #dairyfree #soyfree #glutenfree #lactosefree #nutfree #preservativefree

tamiapple Thanks! đ Itâs really nice on pizza - I add it after the pizza has been cooked, so it gets a little bit softer đ3 likesReply

moth I agree to add it AFTER, it's not like "real" Feta and it completely melts in cooking. 3 likesReply

lil-chickpea Which would you say is best, Violife or Miyokoâs? We donât have the brands here yet. Beautiful presentation as usual đ€© 2 likesReply
tamiapple Thanks so much!đ As far as I know, Miyokoâs doesnât have a feta offering & if they do, I havenât tried it. In terms of which brand is best, Iâve tried a lot more Miyokoâs products than this brand, so I might have an unfair taste bias toward Miyokoâs. đ Still, Iâve pretty much loved everything Iâve had from both brands, though I do love that everything Iâve tried from Miyokoâs tends to have a fairly clean, short ingredient list. đđ2 likesReply

ryster How do you cut your tomato like that? I consider myself competent at cooking at food prep, but I can't get them to slice like that and retain the seeds. I've tried super sharp knives, special cutters, varying degrees of ripeness and I just end up with the flesh đą2 likesReply
tamiapple Happens to me too (a lot). In this case, I had a âjust ripeâ tomato-on-the-vine, a sharp knife & I cut it a little bit fatter than my preference (for that very reason - of hoping it would stay together). Iâm thinking it might have to do with tomato type? Do you have tomatoes-on-the-vine in your area? If so, have you tried them? Moving forward, Iâll definitely be noticing the difference with the various tomatoes I buy, thanks! đ1 likeReply
