Korean pears (Shingo pears) are one of my favorite fruits.  If you’ve never had one before, I highly recommend giving them a try.  The easiest way to describe it is somewhere in between an apple and a pear….but larger than either. 

They are so crispy and juicy and flavorful!  They are an absolute treat.  I would usually purchase these from a farmers market or an Asian grocer but haven’t been able to get to either so I was happy to purchase one from Trader Joe’s, even though the price is high.  

I think they are absolutely perfect on their own but you could also pair them with nut butter.  I’ve also used them as an ingredient in the sauce for vegan Bulgogi.
