Review of Maui Wowie - Personal Pan Pizza at 4th & State by lizmaselli

This Maui Wowie personal pan hit the spot! I actually prefer the personal size to the larger stuffed crust pizza. It's more than filling and only $13 vs $26 so it is also a better, more affordable price. This pizza is unique in that it replaces traditional marinara with BBQ sauce, topped with #vegan cheese, pineapple, sweet red onion, and housemade tempeh chik'n. It also comes with jalapeño, but I substituted that out with double pineapple! Yum! The pizza is then topped off with a vegan ranch sauce. It's extremely flavorful. My only complaint is that many things at 4th are often served burned. The crust at the bottom was pretty black and charred, so next time, I will definitely ask them to cook it a bit less. However, the flavor was still great, and I enjoyed it.

I would recommend this restaurant for small groups. It's a really nice atmosphere, slightly busy, but also allows for intimate gatherings. The interior is beautiful and really looks like an upscale diner. They're also transitioning out a lot of their gardein products for house made faux meats, which I'd awesome and make the prices seem way more reasonable!
