Review of Italian Tomato & Red Onion Focaccia - Trader Joe's by beckyyy
This focaccia comes in the frozen section and heats up in the oven for 10-12 minutes per instructions. I heated for 11 and the inside was soft and the outside ring was crusty. Though nice, I’d probably try a minute or two less so the outside is more pliable. The bread is brushed with seasoned olive oil and has tomatoes and red onions. My focaccia only had a few thin pieces of onion. I wish there had been more onion and a touch more seasonings on the bread. It was quite nice paired with a sausage and peppers pasta, as the outside/crust was nice dipped in marinara.
I thought that focaccia is typically thicker than this, but I’m not an expert so I could be off on that. This seemed a bit more like a pizza without the sauce or cheese. Tasty, though - especially the softer inside portion!
A quick and convenient bread (or potential pizza base).
