New restaurant recently opened in Zagreb - 100% plant-based and stated that they are planning to stay that way! 😊❤️
This time I tried this bowl - contains quinoa, black beans, seitan kebab, harrisa spread, spinach, cauliflower, boiled corn, shredded carrots, marinated baked peppers, and vegan yoghurt dill sauce. It's also garnished with spicy marinated almonds! Awesome combination, healthy, and full of flavor! I will definitely order again soon. The price was 54 kn (around $8).

htrfung dang! 😆 I was in Croatia last year, would’ve loved to have asked for food recommendations. 1 likeReply
danga Well, now you'll have to come again. 😄 I've got plenty of recommendations. What places did you visit?Reply
htrfung This is true! I started in Zagreb > pula > plitvice lakes > Brela > Omis > split > hvar > finally Dubrovnik by 🚙 and ⛴. I missed a few like Pag and Zadar. 😄1 likeReply
danga Holy cow! I didn't imagine you'd mention so many cities! Awesome. 😄 Some of them I never visited! I don't know about Pag cause it's an island so it's kind of more conservative, but Zadar is also growing when it comes to the vegan movement. :) I was in Dubrovnik and Split last summer and it took me a full week to explore them thoroughly. 😄 Split has an even better variety of vegan options than my hometown Zagreb, in my opinion. What place did you like the most? :)Reply
htrfung Haha yes. Mini road trip, I spent about two and a half weeks? I agree, Split had the best vegan options! Dubrovnik was beautiful, but I had a hard time finding food or food I’d enjoy eating. Ended up eating at a sushi place a few times. 1 likeReply
danga Very nice! And how did you pick Croatia out of all other countries? :) I'm curious. In Dubrovnik I think the most popular places are "Urban & Veggie" and "Nishta" - both 100% vegan. Unfortunately, I didn't try the 2nd one because it was too crowded. I also had some wok in "Snogu" and there were vegan burgers and vegan ice creams in Stradun (the main street near the City Walls).1 likeReply
htrfung Game of thrones!! Haha just kidding. I wanted to visit plitvice lakes and also at the time because of COVID, Croatia was open for tourists. Nishta was really good! I ate at oyster & sushi bar bota a few times. had veggie rolls. Other places aren’t worth mentioning 😆 I had some gelato near the wall and did not like it. Split had a better gelato places. 1 likeReply
htrfung Croatia was one of the few countries open for tourists*1 likeReply
danga Cool! haha yeah, we're not really advanced when it comes to vegan options (and most of it is pretty expensive), but there are definitely amazing things to see here. I can't wait for everything to come back to normal so we can travel without any restrictions. I visited the US back in 2019 and it's about time for another go.1 likeReply
