Review of Beyond Chicken Nuggets at KFC by thundergleep
These are amazing. Almost too amazing. The texture, the flavor, the breading, everything is just like I remember. I haven't eaten KFC in over 10 years, even before I went vegan I didn't care for KFC chicken. But the Beyond isn't nearly as greasy, so I think it's way better. I bought a big bucket of them for my co workers (not vegans) and they were a huge hit! Everyone said they'd order them again and that they wanted their families to try them! Win! đź‘Ť
Disclaimer: While the nuggets themselves are completely vegan, they are fried in the same oil as everything else. Therefore they are labeled "plant based" and not vegan.

thundergleep I knew this would be controversial, I've seen plenty of banter on the internet about it. The truth is any restaurant you eat at that sells non vegan food has cross contamination. Same fryers, Same cutting boards, same knives, same cookware. The "Vegan" French fries everyone orders when they have no other vegan option are all cooked in the same fryers as meat, everywhere. Processed foods that say "May contain" are also foods processed on shared equipment. Aside from any of that, I want to support a global shift towards cruelty free options being available and normalized everywhere, not just exclusively vegan restaurants. The goal is to reduce suffering, and no additional animals suffered on my behalf. And when non-vegans order this option, less animals suffer. That is a win for the animals. That's all that matters.4 likesReply
