Review of Curry noodle at Sunnychoice by sunshineinspo

This curry dish from Sunny Choice is my go to when I want a comforting but not overly indulgent curry. I chose beehoon (thin rice vermicelli noodles) as my choice of noodles, but they also offer a thicker whole grain noodle option. The pictures on their website as well as on food delivery sites look like it is meant to be a thicker curry. However, when I’ve eaten it at their cafe as well as when I have it delivered, it is a thinner curry without any compromise on flavour.

The ingredients are the basic potatoes (nicely soft but not falling apart), carrots, cabbage and fried beancurd (or’ tau pok’ in Chinese) to soak up the gravy. This dish is always served piping hot (whether I’m dining in or via delivery) so I tend to eat it in the evenings. Because it is not overly oily and rich, I usually drink all the curry, like a soup :)
This homecooked-like dish scores 5 stars in taste, only falling behind slightly in originality and presentation. Slightly more expensive than a hawker meal but the portion size is generous so still very reasonable. It never fails to warm up my tummy, minus the burn.
