Review of Dried Chickpeas - Dried Chickpeas by iamavegan-er
According to my Egyptian friend, it’s best to used dried chickpeas rehydrated with water for 24hrs than canned ones as the former allows for better texture and taste. So I bought dried chickpeas from Hummus Elijah for Php150 (about $3), soaked them in water with baking soda for 24hrs, processed them in my blender with fresh dill, coriander, parsley, white onion, garlic and spices, refrigerated it overnight, added baking powder, formed them into patties (I prefer this than balls), then baked them at 350F for 20 mins. My pita with falafel patties turned out okay, but not as good as Hummus Elijah’s falafel balls. I’m gonna get it right with practice.
