Review of Inari sushi (tofu) and/or kappa sushi (cucumber) at Genkin Sushi Restaurant by travellingweasels

Some vegans won't go to a restaurant unless it's exclusively vegan, or at the very least vegetarian. I'm not quite there yet (though I won't go somewhere where it stinks of meat or fish). Anyway, if you're like me and have been dying to visit a sushi place in Tokyo since like forever, don't worry, I've got you: order inari sushi (tofu) and/or kappa sushi (cucumber). We went to Genki Sushi and loved it! You order your sushi on a little iPad and it is sent along to you on a little train - no waiters needed! herbimetal It's gonna be hard socially if you only go to vegan/vegetarian restaurants cos some people want their meat. As long as the restaurants have good vegan options I'm happy1 likeReply
travellingweasels We agree - what are your fave non-vegan/non-vegetarian restaurants that also have good vegan options in Tokyo? Are there many good places like these? Since we didn't (and still don't) speak the language, that made it harder for us, unfortunately....1 likeReply
herbimetal @travellingweasels I've never been to Japan. I heard that in Japan you need to research the places that are veg friendly or have veg options and plan ahead. I'm just saying in general, cos most people are non veg and you wanna be social.1 likeReply
