Woodstock Giving Week!

Welcome to WOODSTOCK GIVING WEEK! In order to rescue and advocate for animals, we need your support. From June 20th to June 27th, generous friends of the Sanctuary are matching ALL gifts that come in on any platform, dollar-for-dollar! During this Woodstock Giving Week, we need to raise $100,000 dollars for the animals. This is an enormous goal for us - the highest match goal we’ve ever had - and we’re nervous about hitting it.

We're going to be talking all week about the animals you've had an impact on. Your contributions saved these animals' lives and changed them for the better. Of course we had to kick off Woodstock Giving Week with a flashback to when our little friend KIWI was first rescued!

Kiwi was originally a part of a class hatching project in a school. After the project was over, Kiwi was supposed to go back to the farm she came from, but the farmer no longer wanted her. A family brought Kiwi home and intended to care for her for life, but unfortunately she was attacked by a predator. Kiwi’s spine was injured in the attack and she lost the ability to walk or stand. The family reached out to find a place that could care for Kiwi's disability -- that's when we stepped in and brought her to sanctuary.

After posting about her on Instagram and Facebook, Kiwi quickly has become the superstar of the Sanctuary, gaining love and support from millions of people and was even featured on The Dodo. We’re so happy that she is now safe and cared for and that her story has inspired so many.
