No Name Sans Nom

#noname #vegetablebroth

I bought this vegetable broth at No Frills because it was available. I don’t normally buy No Name broth only because it doesn’t have a no/low sodium version (at least, I don’t think it does). I don’t remember what brand I normally buy which does have a no/low sodium version. Many food products today have too much sodium, so I try to cut back where I can.

I used the vegetable broth in a Baked Spanish Rice recipe, which I got from Thug Kitchen. The recipe was one component of burritos that I made today.

Also, in this recipe were onions, tomatoes, garlic, jalapeño, tomato paste, long grain rice, oil, corn, peas, lime juice and cilantro.

Despite the fact this vegetable broth had more salt than I would like, I would probably get it again if a no/low sodium version was not available. It did the job.

I have no idea what it taste like. I don’t think it was intended to be drunk on its own.
