Well, I think my furry friend, Tachio, approves! 🐿 Last month, I started putting out a few pistachios on my front porch and she is now a daily visitor. I just adore her!!! I gifted her a tiny picnic table and she seems to like it. I love snacking on my pistachios while watching her do the same. The earth was made for all beings, not just human beings. 💚

mikekenn Squirrels can be quite fearless when they are hungry. One day, you should lay down on the ground and be still, then put the pistachios on your belly. $5 bucks says the squirrel will come and get them offa you! 1 likeReply

agreene428 Be careful with peanuts and sunflower seeds. It's not that sunflower seeds and peanuts are incredibly harmful to squirrels, it's just that they have very low nutritional value. Raw peanuts can be especially dangerous because they can harbor toxic mold. Someone told me recently that squirrels love watermelon, bananas, plums, nectarines, peaches, mangoes, kiwi, and pears. I'm going to see if my furry friend will eat any of those fruits.1 likeReply
avecdeschiens Omg, I just noticed the picnic table; even cuter! I was just reading about aflatoxin from peanuts in The China Study; it is primarily found in peanut butter, and much less in raw peanuts. But I'll use a more keen eye when serving them up 😊 1 likeReply
