VEGAN

Trader Joe's

This is my go to brand when I’m craving for dumplings - which is basically all the time. I absolutely love it- great taste and nutrition value. It can be easily paired with vegan mayonnaise. My advice is to steam them properly instead of using microwave as the latter leaves the ends of the dumplings chewy and uncooked. The packaging is also recyclable which is great.

herbimetal Superman is vegan 🦸‍♂️Reply
khyato @herbimetal indeed.Reply
herbimetal @khyato I googled and it seems Superman was indeed vegetarian. I was in a way saying, you are superman and you are eating vegan food. Vegans are the superheroes for the animals and the earth! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️Reply
khyato @herbimetal yes, that’s how I perceived your comment too. Vegans are supermen and women saving the World one meal at a time 💫❤️Reply
herbimetal @khyato yay! Are you vegan? Reply
khyato @herbimetal yes I’ve been vegetarian my whole life but realised two months ago that it wasn’t enough, that’s when I started my vegan journey. How about you?Reply
herbimetal @khyato wow cool! It seems dairy is such a big part of Indian cuisine it's hard for people to give it up. Lucky you to be born vegetarian, you didn't experience the huge struggle I went through to make it happen. I first went vegetarian 10 years ago at age 15 after a couple of events made me reflect how much I was harming animals. Went vegan almost 3 years ago, had been trying to and then found the Singapore community. Btw go look at my profile I review a lot and u can get inspiration Reply
khyato @herbimetal you’re right. I try to keep myself motivated by thinking about all the cows that have been exploited to bring the glass of milk in front of me, and suddenly it’s doesn’t become that appealing. Wow, but you realised that pretty early on, so that’s awesome. I’ll go through your feed, I’m feeling so nice to be a part of the vegan community here as I don’t have any vegan friends and can’t discuss many of this. Reply
herbimetal @khyato wow it's hard doing it on your own. Are you transitioning or have become vegan already? You are in US right? There's lots of vegan groups all over US I thought? Community is so important whether it's local or online. You can also check out abillionveg's Facebook and YouTube channels, there are videos of our partners. You can find out some stories of animals including those that were rescued from the dairy industry. I believe that can keep you motivated.Reply
khyato @herbimetal I’ve become vegan 🌱 yep, US. I’ve joined every group I could find on Facebook 😂 Thanks for the tip. Yes, that would help with the motivation. Do you work for abillionveg?Reply
herbimetal @khyato ooh you joined groups already? Oh man it must suck to not have anyone that you know in person. Wonderful you've become vegan, congrats! Haha yes I work for abillionveg, I produced some of the videos. A disclaimer though that the opinions I post here are my own. I really really love the app and company so much, an amazing mission and team Reply
herbimetal @khyato doing the videos also motivates me a lot because I really need to research on the partners. And when I learn stories of so many animals, all the more I feel that all this work and the movement is so important, and being vegan is the only way I can live my lifeReply
khyato @herbimetal That’s so awesome and inspirational. Thanks for sharing thatReply
herbimetal @khyato you're welcome! Reply
