These will also be used in my husband’s chili. We aren’t at home so canned is the way to go. Normally I buy black beans in a 25 lb bag and make them in the instant pot.

Ordinary, no-frills, canned black beans. I can always count on you last minute when I want to batch cook for the week but forgot (too lazy😏) to soak the dry kind.
With or without sea salt, I always give them a good shower🚿 So that part doesn’t mean much to me. However, when are you going to make all your cans BPA free, Trader Joe’s?

Pictured with sweet potatoes because I LOVE the blacks beans n sweet potato combo! I love them in a bowl together with greens, or black beans n sweet potato tacos. When I'm feeling really adventurous my new favourite recipe is a black beans and sweet potato taco with kimchi!! Sounds weird but it's awesome !
