I'm gonna start by saying that I'm not the hugest fan of "almond" tasting sauces

& the base of this Pasta dish is an Almond sauce but my mind has been changed.
This sauce didn't taste like you expect it to. It was creamy and rich with only a slight undertone of almond. The long stem broccoli added a fresh crunch and the mushrooms gave all that meatiness. The sweetness added from the caramelised onions and then that ever so slight mustard taste just left a really nice lingering flavour in your mouth.

Honestly, only thing I can fault this dish on is all my fault and the fact that I haven't tried it sooner!

With apologies for the terrible photo that does the dish no justice (the restaurant

has great atmosphere lighting, which my phone camera can't cope with), this was such an impressive dish.
Perfectly cooked pasta in a decadent, creamy (almond-based) sauce with mushrooms and broccoli, that I could only describe as earthy. Deep and rich, without being heavy, goodness knows how they make this, but it is superb.

Someone described this as the best dish in the restaurant (which has some pretty fierce competition on their menu) and I must agree.

It's a big portion but you won't want to leave anything on your plate.
