Bought this from the Grocery Outlet last month, froze it, and forgot about it! Was

doing a fridge/freezer cleanout meal this weekend and decided to try it.

It grilled up beautifully - I was surprised by the textures. The outside crisped up and charred, and the inside was gooey!! I thought it would taste like halloumi cheese but this tasted more like fried vegan Mozzarella (no stretch). My non-veg husband was very impressed. He said it tasted as good as, if not better, than other dairy grilling cheeses, and asked me to buy it again!

Now that I know that this freezes and thaws well, I'll definately stock up if I see this again at the Grocery Outlet.

Before buying this, I didn’t even know grilling cheese was a thing.

This might possibly be Daiya’s best cheese product. For all the self-proclaimed carnivores and vegetarians who won’t consider veganism because of their love for cheese must try this product. It is absolutely phenomenal!! 

When I opened up the package, the herbs and garlic flavour was very aromatic. I cubed the cheese block and pan fried it. A beautiful golden crust formed on various sides, and the interior cheese was soft and gooey. Best of all, it truly tasted like cheese. Kudos to Daiya!! I think they really nailed it.

I will definitely get this again, and I urge everyone to give it a try. I don’t think they’ll regret it. 

Next time, instead of cubing the cheese, perhaps I will cut them elongatedly to make cheese sticks.

So unique! I did grill it and it was nice. I used it to make

a caprese salad with fresh tomatoes from my friend's mom's garden. It was good! I ended up not using the whole brick though and it went back. I find I never use vegan cheeze anymore lol
